Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Driving with the NS-2&#39;s has been very enjoyable, I noticed a significant gain in grip in the dry compared to the landsails I previously had. Driving in the wet is about average and the tyre performs similar to all season tyres with standing water. Ice and snow have been a real weak point for this tyre, being a summer tyre this might be a bit obvious, however I was surprised at how easy traction is lost in these conditions. Aggressive driving, the tyres are very confidence inspiring and handle twisty roads well, especially when warm. Any loss of grip (when pushing the tyre too far) is very predictable and progressive. Please note that the Nankang NS-2 and the Nankang NS-2R are completely different beasts. The NS-2 is a sporty summer tyre the NS-2R is an aggressive semi slick for serious track use

These tyres were absolutely poor on my BMW. The car felt like alignment was off and the car had no stability, going above 60mph was a very scary experience. I removed them and put back my old continentals with 1mm tread and tested because people claimed my alignment was off, but no, it was these tyres they are terrible - nankang ns20. I removed and sold and bought a pair of pirelli p zero

Fitted to a 140bhp front whee drive car. Taking into account these are a budget tyre, grip in the dry is good and spirited driving can be accommodated safely. Tyre in the wet is good but no tyre is safe on the limit in the wet. Because of my low mileage I cannot comment on the rate of wear but must be realistic, after all it is a budget product.

I was sceptical about the quality of these Nankang tyres, when I bought them I was influenced by the price, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the grip level both in the dry and wet. I like to drive quickly but not dangerously and I have felt when the tyres have been close to their limit, which is a big plus point. My only complaint would be they do tend to follow tracks in the road, but they are quite wide.

Fairly good on dry roads, let you know in advance when you are pushing near its limits (they &ldquo;scream&rdquo; loud and clear); the braking is pretty good also On wet roads they are a pain in the butt: lots of wheel spinning (yes, in a Sharan!! Looks like a fwd sports car) whenever you want to put the car in motion, loads of &ldquo;fun&rdquo; on the curves and aquaplanning guaranteed. Driving within my own ability and the ability of the vehicle I choose to drive is what I do. The tyres on my car are part of the interface between driver and road. I prefer to drive with the tyres fully inflated in order to feel the feedback from the surface of the road through noise, suspension and steering, I ballance throttle and brake response with weather conditions, road conditions and temperature. Tyres with less grip just dictate that I should moderate speed and braking at an increased rate. Noisey tyres provide slightly better feedback than silent tyres. The road with current traffic congestion burden isnt the place for performance spirited driving but is the place where defensive driving must be used. I would describe my tyres as competent.

On wet roads, the cornering capability is reduced compared to Bridgestones, however these tyres cost 30% less. All in all, for mixed driving, it&rsquo;s a great all rounder, especially since it&rsquo;s very reasonably priced. A decent everyday tyre. We&rsquo;ll see how long it lasts, but seems promising, so far. Noise level is quite low too.

These tyres do not instill the same confidence as the Bridgestones replaced. Slightly better comfort wise, but definitely generate more lateral shift and distortion than the old tyres on dry and wet roads. Too early to definitively comment on wear.

I changed from ditch finders to these so is a great improvement but these saved my family&#39;s life&#39;s literally my brakes failed and tyres kept us on the rd when needed apart from that they take the bumps in the rd ok amazing grip in the wet . I can&#39;t really comment on wear as it&#39;s too early. Recommended

These tyres are great alternative to the best in class Pirelli P Zero and Michelin. The only thing I can think of that is not as good as the Pirelli tyres is the rim protector. It doesn&#39;t have that depth and it can be easily squashed which leaves the rim exposed. In contrast the P Zero will protect the rim in most situations. But the same lack of protector can be said about the Michelin tires so I would go as far as saying they are better than the Michelin.

During the short time these have been on the car I have to say they are definitely better than the Porsche n3 rated conti&#39;s they replaced. 1 they are quieter 2 more comfortable 3 handling seems more controlled. I researched the tyres for some time, and after reading a lot of reviews, particularly the German motoring press who seem to test all the tyres extensively, I chose these. Very pleased so far.

Far better grip than the Falkens that came with the car, although they still had lots of tread left, they were old and on removal it was found the sidewalls and beads were perished, and were the wrong size. Toyo are current the only manufacturer producing 205/45-15&#39;s and these had previously been unavailable for the previous decade, the improvement in both grip and roadholding is impressive, can&#39;t comment on wear yet due to limited mileage, fuel consumption difference - I haven&#39;t checked.

I drive an SW20 MR2 on (almost) original tyre sizes (Rear 225/50/15 and Front 205/50/15), so my choice is limited. For over a decade I&#39;ve used the original Proxes as they were pretty good all-rounders and good value. The new version are very good in the dry - communicative and grippy, you can feel the back end start to let go and everything is progressive and fun. However, the tread pattern gives me zero confidence in the wet as the pattern is in a v direction on one side of the car and a ^ direction on the other. Not a mistake, the &quot;Outside&quot; markings insist this way round. This has to have a huge impact on clearing standing water as the tread is reversed on one side of the car, so I have zero confidence in the wet as each side of the car will behave differently. Bring back the old style that were ^ all round please!

These tyres replaced Pirelli P zero&#39;s so it was a hard act to follow but the only fault I noticed was on fast damp corners they do not hold on just as well

First thing to say is I have MO&#39;s fitted. Tried these on my Stage 3 TT RS - some commuting some shall we say v.spirited driving, grip is excellent, wet &amp; dry but of course the awd helps , as good as others I&#39;ve tried. what is surprising to me is the wear rate they are great, i&#39;m not expecting zillions of miles but to compare I have a mondeo diesel with Michelins doing same commute and only about 20% tops better. Car&#39;s a bit noisy so can&#39;t comment about road noise but again no more/less noisy than other premiums.

Definitely my first choice for summer tyres after trying several premium brands. Excellent grip in dry and wet which inspires confidence for spirited driving in all driving conditions.

B road driving with the odd motorway and A road. Excellent grip in all conditions, I bought these over pilot sports as I wanted to use them all year round. As long as the temp is above 6 degrees they are fine to push anything below that proceed with caution but they are certainly not ditch finders. I will be doing track on them aswell mainly due to changeable uk weather these are the perfect tyres to drive to track in with confidence.

I find the tyres to have outstanding grip once the tyres are warm, comfort is far better than any other tyre i&#39;ve used, these are the 2 most important aspecs for me, as my driving style is quite enthusiastic, and being a fast rear wheel drive car, the last thing I need is the traction control light lighting up every 5 sec&#39;s, but when these tyres get warm I rarely see it. I&#39;m so impressed with them that I bought another set for my other wheels, they&#39;re the best tyre I&#39;ve ever fitted
