Compared to winter tyres, the rubber mixture of the summer tyres is harder, even in high temperatures. Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

I emailed 2 weeks after I received the tires and told them that one blew out the first time I drove on it. I was told they would be sending me a FedEx slip to get it picked up and that never happened. So I only have one working tire from y'all still disappointed

These were a 1/3 the cost of bridgstones and lasted 3 times as long and handled much better also. The haida are awesome tires and I will be getting them again even if I have to pay more next time as I had got them on a special introductory low price to try them since they are a new tire out.

Fairly good on dry roads, let you know in advance when you are pushing near its limits (they &ldquo;scream&rdquo; loud and clear); the braking is pretty good also On wet roads they are a pain in the butt: lots of wheel spinning (yes, in a Sharan!! Looks like a fwd sports car) whenever you want to put the car in motion, loads of &ldquo;fun&rdquo; on the curves and aquaplanning guaranteed. Braking not that bad Would buy again because of the price IF it didn&rsquo;t rain!! &#x1F602;

Far better grip than the Falkens that came with the car, although they still had lots of tread left, they were old and on removal it was found the sidewalls and beads were perished, and were the wrong size. Toyo are current the only manufacturer producing 205/45-15&#39;s and these had previously been unavailable for the previous decade, the improvement in both grip and roadholding is impressive, can&#39;t comment on wear yet due to limited mileage, fuel consumption difference - I haven&#39;t checked.

I drive an SW20 MR2 on (almost) original tyre sizes (Rear 225/50/15 and Front 205/50/15), so my choice is limited. For over a decade I&#39;ve used the original Proxes as they were pretty good all-rounders and good value. The new version are very good in the dry - communicative and grippy, you can feel the back end start to let go and everything is progressive and fun. However, the tread pattern gives me zero confidence in the wet as the pattern is in a v direction on one side of the car and a ^ direction on the other. Not a mistake, the &quot;Outside&quot; markings insist this way round. This has to have a huge impact on clearing standing water as the tread is reversed on one side of the car, so I have zero confidence in the wet as each side of the car will behave differently. Bring back the old style that were ^ all round please!

I bought these tyres because I do occasional track days. If I drive hard on a track day the outer edge of my front tyres are heavily worn. I wanted a tyre that would withstand a track day, but still be good for everyday use. This tryre is perfect for this. Not outer edge issues at all on track day and plenty of grip in wet winter on normal roads. My fuel consumption has increased a lot. I do not know if this is the tyres (only fitted on front) or because I am doing shorter trips due to lock down.

For a summer tyre, these are great in the wet, adimitadly there&#39;s still plenty of tread left so this could be part of this. A lot of people said these were no good in the wet, that&#39;s rubbish. Damp or wet roads these still have better levels of grip than a normal road tyre, they just don&#39;t handle standing water very well (As would be expected this this type of tyre). As long as you drive to the conditions you won&#39;t have any issues with rain. I&#39;ve even had 3 days in the snow with these...lets just make it clear these are NOT snow tyres but they done suprisingly well. The only thing I noticed is that you have to warm them up, when cold they seem a bit loose. After a few minutes driving they get to decent levels of grip but you need to drive a bit harder than normal road conditions to get them to full potential. It would have been nice if they were still available in this size with the softer compound. They are on the latest MSA list 1B though so don&#39;t get caught out - some of the smaller events like the autosolos won&#39;t allow you to run with them. The side walls are stiff enough to give some sharp turn in but you trade that off with road noise and a stiffer ride but again that is to be expected. All in all these are great tyres for the price.

I changed from ditch finders to these so is a great improvement but these saved my family&#39;s life&#39;s literally my brakes failed and tyres kept us on the rd when needed apart from that they take the bumps in the rd ok amazing grip in the wet . I can&#39;t really comment on wear as it&#39;s too early. Recommended

The loudest tires ever bought in 30 years... I went back to seller who recommended brand and model, he replied is road&#39;s fault... Now after just 2000km I am looking forward to wear them out, as these tires turned a very very quiet car (reason why I bough it) in a rumble of madness on the motorway where grainy asphalt is used for draining water... let me reiterate: the loudest tires ever bought in 30 years !! I am italian and was happy to buy an italian product... after this experience... no more Pirelli... EVER ! There are so many good brands out there. Was upgrading wheels so decided to get all new tyres aswell so picked tyres that were of a better make with good properties however they do slip easily on a wet road more than I had expected, give a comfortable ride considering the state of some roads seem to be wearing well although not done a large mileage on these so far, road noise is acceptable, all in all I would say they seem to be a decent tyre overall
