Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Unlike some who write stuff thinking they&#39;re lewis hamilton, im not, but im no miss daisy either. Ive driven it pretty hard at times and whatever has been thrown at these tyres, wet or dry, they have stood up to it. Not a hint of losing it. These are the B-Silent Model and they were 235/55 R19 105Y but this system will not let me specify 55 height. These tyres are absolutely brilliant! I fitted them on the rear and they stopped the road noise from the rear completely. I just wish I had not fitted something different to the front previously, as soon as the fronts wear out I will change to these. I have had no problem with grip, despite racing others around roundabouts.

OK concerning all aspects - Except NOISE. Really bad ! Not in the topline other Comfort-aspects. But ok. The noise level on the Swedish often very coarse asphalt is horrible-I will have too change tyres. In comparison with the 17&quot; wintertyres -friction- the soundlevel is extremely different-VERY FAR FROM ACCEPTABLE. Strange-when you look att the EU db figures (68 db) , but that must be a value on an extremely smooth Surface. The noisiest tire I ever had !

Replaced all 4 tyres Goodyear Eagle 1 for the Toyo Price sport due to the the fact that Goodyears were old 9 years and they had become stiff and the flexibility of the rubber had become poor ride lack of grip and dangerous in the wet. Having said that our car is only showing 50,000 miles so we only run it like you are supposed to is sun out top down. Now with the new Toyo sports we feel safer with much more predictable feel and grip would definitely recommend these tyres especially when on promotion and would buy again but as I said we don&#39;t do many miles and will probably replace these not because of wear but down to age related issues like we had to with F1 s but must say the As 3 is like a different.car for the better.

Most of the miles i am driving on motorway but i drive in town too. I can&#39;t say nothing wrong about this tyres. Very pleased with them. Tge tyres are not noisy, very comfortable, very good grip in dry and wet conditions. Very good quality overall for 108&pound; each tyre considering the size 255/45/19. My next set of tyres will definitely be the same, TOYO Proxes Sport.

The ne thing with my car is the torque and how easy it is to get the wheels to lose traction. Coming from Michelin PS2 Sports I thought I would try out the Goodyear. One thing is obvious - the grip is immense. Way better than the PS2&#39;s which were quite old and maybe had hardened up a bit but the GY&#39;s were a fabulous choice and would definitely get again, just hope the Asymmetric 2 remains available. Don&#39;t drive much when wet but still better grip all round from these over the PS2&#39;s.

I was really impressed with these tyres, the volvo v60 D4 is a heavy car with 192bhp 400nm of torque. 235/40/18 Winter has been very wet and i would describe my driving style as quick, with moments of very fast! The grip in all weather conditions is sensational, both dry and wet there is no tyre slip even with a spirited drive. I have also tested the grip limits at low speeds around roundabouts and there is a lot more grip available than i thought there would be in the wet. Tyre life seems good after 4000km and i do mainly a mix of country lanes and dual carriage way day to day. I am very impressed and will buy these tyres again!

Amazing tyres, grip is excellent, comfort and noise are excellent. the only thing i can fault is that the wear isn&#39;t anything special. Down to 4mm after 6000 miles. My tyre size is 245/35R18 but tyretest will not let me add the correct size above.

Excellent tyres chosen via the reviews by Jon @ tyrereviews.co.uk - they faired very well against the likes of the Michelin PS5s and at the time of buying (Feb2023) the Goodyears were &pound;250 cheaper than the PS5s; but more or less neck &amp; neck with them in the tyre review! Car Driven : BMW 425D 225Hp . Quite quietly from the start until the first 10,000 km they kept a relatively low noise level until the end of their lives. Relatively comfortable especially considering that is a runflat tire. The tire tread still retains its original groove and design but has significant wear points on both edge and there are some small tire detachments. In the few rains we have in Greece it never had a hadling problem or breaking and did not create any feeling of insecurity. in short it is a good quiet tire ROF tire, comfortable and efficient in fast driving.
