Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

They are Pirelli tyres so should be good across the board. However the driving comfort in my electric car is not the same anymore with these tyres due to minor vibrations and no I don&rsquo;t have balancing issues so will switch back to Michelin when I need new tyres which won&rsquo;t be anytime soon.

Having used Pirelli Scorpions as a winter tyre before, I&#39;ve always been extremely happy with their performance. For a soft compound tyre the wear rate on them is surprisingly good - I usually get a good 3+ winters on them swapping them in in December and out again round about March. They get a lot of driving on pretty poor country roads as well as longer motorway runs and, when the weather gets bad, inspire a great deal of confidence. Grip on the snow is exceptional. They are a little noisier than the Pirelli P-Zeros that I run the rest of the year but that&#39;s to be expected - generally you only notice that when switching back to the summer tyres!

These tyres were OE on my 2017 Passat Estate so I stuck with the same when it came to replacing the fronts. I&#39;m still on the original rears. The fronts did around 24K miles while the tread left of the rears gives me around another 10K at least. However, the tyres walls on the rear have slight cracking even though they haven&#39;t been curbed and if get worst it will become an MOT failure at the cars first MOT this year. The one area where these tyres are weakest are the road noise. I&#39;m sure there are quieter tyres out there but they may be weaker in other areas. On the whole these Pirellis are more than suitable for any family car.

These are as close to perfect summer tyres that I have come across in more than 50+ years of spirited driving. Wet grip is of great importance, and these tyres are actually AO, which I always purchase, as I understand that grip was paramount in AUDIs requirements. The car is a modified 25th Anniversary model and is fitted with SACHS Race Engineering Coil-Over suspension. The cylinder head has been ported and polished with the motor now producing well over 200 ps.

Car had 20&quot; 245/35r20 runflats in front and 275/30r20 runflats (all MOE) for RWD w213 luxury saloon. The car came with these factory fitted MOE runflat tyres. I&#39;ve Replaced these tyres and wheels at 10600km. I&#39;ve driven 8600km of that mileage. The tyres wore like rubber bands on the 20&quot; wheels. Steering as a result is very precise in both wet and dry. Front 245/30s have sound deadening foam and overall tyre noise is quiet in the cabin (but just wee bit louder than the 18&quot; PS4 tyres I replaced them with). Ride comfort is 8/10 on highways due to air suspension. On chip seal, speed humps, potholed roads ride comfort is 5/10 - there is very abrupt jarring transmitted to cabin due to tyre profile and rims. Wet grip in cold (5&#39;C) and damp country highways was 7/10 at 110km/h speeds - there was some slip noticeable. Dry grip was 8/10 most of the time but with occasional rear traction slips at highway speeds in curves. This combination of tyres and rims is quite poor for a luxury sedan and compliant rides.

Regularly drive in UK and Europe, both South and North, therefore need tyres h that can cope with a wide variety of road and weajther conditions. No practical time to change tyres one day dry roads, next day snow and ice, especially off-road where may go from abrasive tarmac to wet slippery clay slopes. I expect a 4 x4 to be able to cope with most conditoins and not get stuck, the tyrpes transfer the power and direction to the surface and these tyres are the best I have used for traction, wear, noise overall and dont add to the roll of the vehicle thanks to the wall strength. I will stick to these tyres all year round.

Not had snow but previous experience with these tyre on Nissan X trail was very good . I have used Nokian tyres for a number of years on several vehicles and found them to be the best performers I&#39;ve ever had. 45000 miles on front axle in X trail , fantastic!

Car had 20&quot; 245/35r20 runflats in front and 275/30r20 runflats (all MOE) for RWD w213 luxury saloon. The car came with these factory fitted MOE runflat tyres. I&#39;ve Replaced these tyres and wheels at 10600km. I&#39;ve driven 8600km of that mileage. The tyres wore like rubber bands on the 20&quot; wheels. Steering as a result is very precise in both wet and dry. Front 245/30s have sound deadening foam and overall tyre noise is quiet in the cabin (but just wee bit louder than the 18&quot; PS4 tyres I replaced them with). Ride comfort is 8/10 on highways due to air suspension. On chip seal, speed humps, potholed roads ride comfort is 5/10 - there is very abrupt jarring transmitted to cabin due to tyre profile and rims. Wet grip in cold (5&#39;C) and damp country highways was 7/10 at 110km/h speeds - there was some slip noticeable. Dry grip was 8/10 most of the time but with occasional rear traction slips at highway speeds in curves. This combination of tyres and rims is quite poor for a luxury sedan and compliant rides.

These are as close to perfect summer tyres that I have come across in more than 50+ years of spirited driving. Wet grip is of great importance, and these tyres are actually AO, which I always purchase, as I understand that grip was paramount in AUDIs requirements. The car is a modified 25th Anniversary model and is fitted with SACHS Race Engineering Coil-Over suspension. 18000 UK miles and still tread left! At last a tyre that actually delivers half sensible mileage on the Touareg. Had them swapped front to back at about 11,000 as advised and have noticed some unsual wear on the now rears on the outer edges of the tread since. Also, a small trade off for the economy is slightly more road noise as the tyres wear. So far so good - I will be having some more in about 5,000 miles time. My first 3 sets (Pirelli/Continentals)averaged 16,000 before becoming slicks!
