Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Terrible grip especially on wet - went sliding on a roundabout with slow speed. Simply doesn&rsquo;t grip on the road well. I have tried several tyres in my driving time but these sadly are one of the worst purchases I&rsquo;ve made. I was hopeful as it&rsquo;s Goodyear but it&rsquo;s a huge disappointment. Don&rsquo;t waste your money on this. The noise isn&rsquo;t too bad, but fuel consumption is poor and so it&rsquo;s the grip!

Nearly perfect road tyre in my opinion. I usually drive sensibly, but often &quot;spirited&quot; and found no major downsides, grips really well. ~2000 miles so far I don&#39;t see any wear at all (unlike the budget tyres I had before). The only drawback was going through puddles at speed, but I think that&#39;s more my car lacking a limited slip diff.

I used to own Primacy 4&#39;s which I liked very much, but pricewise 4&#39;were too expensive. I think Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are very comfortable tyres. They produce less internal noise when compared to Primacy 4&#39;s. Also Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 are softer and less precise (just by marginal difference) than Primacy 4&#39;s. Overall I like Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 very much and I think these are safe, comfortable and well pierced premium tyres. I&#39;ll buy these tyres again for sure. I would say I should do around 45,000 km in this tyres (front axle) seeing current usage (1.3mm) after 8,500 km.

I would like to say that these tyres saved our bacon this winter. We had lots of snow and ice over January and February this year and the tyres never lost an ounce of grip. Even when others were stuck and lost in snow drifts, the Scout got through. I was concerned about the wear of the tyres (bring softer than summet tyres but there was little wear showing on the Winter Tyres). Highly recommended for high speed road driving or off-road snowdrifts!

I live off road network 1000ft up in pennines. Encounter the following mud grass gravel floods sow and ice. I did hill farming for neighbour driving off tracks. I drive bmw like you would a land-rover when off road network. Was trained by British Leyland many years ago and drove land-rover countryside ranger.

We run multiple brand new vehicles and the first thing we do is take off the existing brand new tyres and replace all of them with Nokian Seasonproof. These tyres are without doubt the best tyres we have ever used. In the dry they grip like a racing car and in the wet they grip equally as good given the weather. When it gets icy or snow on the ground there is little to touch these Tyres. They wear extremely well given their amazing traction in all conditions. I cannot begin to impress upon people how important tyres are on a vehicle. The part that connects you to the road and the component that can make the difference between a collision or not. These are the best all-round all season tyres on the market.We have covered around 100,000 miles on these in total. I don&#39;t like advertising peoples wares but in this case given how good the product is and how it alters the safety of the vehicle people need to know about them.

These tyres are good value and perform safely and well when used within legal parameters on UK roads. One slight negative is road surfaces can sometimes make tyre noise quite high but other than that I will definitely buy them again.

The tyres were 7/10 when I got them, the wet straight line grip is great the dry performance is above average. Quiet and comfortable tyres. The tyre wear is poor, I had new arms,tie rods, drop links and bushings as well as alignment done afterwards. The tyres showed excessive wear on the edge after only 8000 miles. I always check tyre pressure every week.

Nice tyre for the money, excellent dry grip! I couldn&#39;t afford something really nice from Michelin but was very impressed with it. Used two different size on two cars and the only let down (no pun intended) was i did get 2 flats on 1 car and 1 on the other at various times over the first months of ownership but the replacements have been fine. Just bad luck perhaps but makes me think the sidewalls are not the best for abuse, potholes etc.

Great tyres , good all round grip, as I live in Scotland the seasons change every 5mins, with plenty of rain &amp; the odd bit of snow , I do some off road driving and never got the car stuck, I do run this type of tyre all year round , but as the car is quite light I always change my tyres when they get down to 3mm , I think this is far safer ,

The tyres perform unbelievably well. Braking and grip in the wet is just phenomenal. Outstanding performance. Superb and consistent grip in heavy persistent rain along French motorway to the UK, long and short journeys.

I went for the BMW approved (star marked) Blizzak and I&rsquo;m very happy with the tyres. I&rsquo;ve had Conti Winter Contact on previous cars and in regular use I would say the Blizzak is very comparable. The car retains decent steering feel and traction on wet and dry roads plus offers a far greater level of grip on snow/slush over a regular tyre. Ride comfort seems pretty much unchanged, as always with winters there is a little more noise but it&rsquo;s slight and after 5 minutes you don&rsquo;t notice! Fuel consumption does increase very slightly over the summer tyres BUT that could be down to the cold weather as much as the tyres!

I bought these so that I wouldn&#39;t have any mishaps during the winter in my beloved car. I was worried that it would be a nightmare to drive in the snow due to being rear wheel drive and its power. I put these tyres on the front and different winter tyres on the rear and never had any problems at all - very surprised and impressed!

Having driven around fields and private roads from age 11, I passed my test at 17 yrs and 4 months. These tyres are good value and perform safely and well when used within legal parameters on UK roads. One slight negative is road surfaces can sometimes make tyre noise quite high but other than that I will definitely buy them again.

The tyres were 7/10 when I got them, the wet straight line grip is great the dry performance is above average. Quiet and comfortable tyres. The tyre wear is poor, I had new arms,tie rods, drop links and bushings as well as alignment done afterwards. The tyres showed excessive wear on the edge after only 8000 miles. I always check tyre pressure every week.
