Comment:
I have been really impressed with the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT tyres. So much so that I have fitted them to front and rear now.
They are a very competent tyre for the 140 BHP that my Audi produces. They offer very good all round performance at a reasonable price.
Having owned a Polo GTi before my Audi - which had a higher power output of 190 BHP, I had previously purchased more sport oriented tyres - the Yokohama AD08 R’s which were fitted all round. These tyres offered even better grip than the Pirelli in the dry, but lacked wet road abilities that the Pirelli can still handle so well.
The wear rate has also been quite impressive. After covering around 7,000 KM, I have around 4.5mm remaining on my front tyres.
In my opinion therefore, the Pirelli P Zero Nero GT offer a very good all round performance at a reasonable cost.
