Comment:
I didn't expect these tyres to be quite as good as they are.
My car is quite torquey, but even on compacted snow, I didn't suffer any accidental wheelspin. On clean but very cold roads I was still able to accelerate "enthusiastically" without drama.
There was another plus-point ... they are noticeably quieter than my Michelin PS4s summer tyres.
Turn-in feels somehow softer, but I did not notice any actual understeer.
I think I could run these tyres all year-round (UK) if I had to. In fact, I've heard that some people do.
The only downsides were the availability - it took a few weeks to find a whole set and get them to my tyre fitter, and price - the best part of £1600 for the set.
Nest time I need winters tyres, I will make sure I order them in October instead of December because there was very little choice of suitable premium winter tyres available - I wanted the latest sottozeros, but I simply could not find a complete set anywhere.
However, I will happily continue to use these ones when the cold comes back.
