These tyres won Autoexpress winter testing award and it's easy to see why, I've driven in deep snow with no loss of grip or skidding. I hate snow but these have given me a new level of confidence. I've never failed to get to work or home. The only problem I have had is other road users blocking roads with summer tyres or low profile tyres on. Yes they cost more but they are worth it. I have tried other brands but find these the best. I buy two each year which I put on the front and the older ones in the back, with no loss of traction.

Excellent tyre for cold or winter conditions. Gives significantly better grip in cold conditions than summer tyres. No notable change in fuel economy compared with summer tyres used. Road noise levels quiet.

I use Continental Contact 5's during summer and Continental Winter tires during the colder months. I have used only Continental tires for the last six years and will continue to use them for the foreseeable future. I am a fairly sporty driver and have confidence in Continental as a tire manufacturer. Approximately 30,000 km's per year.

An excellent winter tyre particularly in wet & cold driving conditions. I regularly use Continental Winter tyres on the front of my VW Sharan, utilising steel wheels for the purpose.
