Comment:
The Ice is noisier on the road than the SA2, but this may be more to do with the specific harmonics in the BMW bodywork. It's by no means difficult and after the first couple of weeks you cease to notice. The fuel economy is exactly the same as I get on summer tyres. The ride comfort is very good indeed. I bought the Q rated tyre simply because there's nowhere in the UK where you can do sustained speeds of 100 mph, legally or practically. The Ice is an excellent performer in snow, ice, mud, water and especially off-road. My BMW X1 gets to places of which the dealer has probably never dreamed! This is the third set of Cooper winter tyres that I have bought and on that evidence I shall certainly stay with the brand.
