The rear tyre 150/70/17 needed replacing after 3000km. The photo below shows the tread depth compared to a 4mm spoke. Tread depth is about half the spoke, 2mm. This is very poor performance for a supposedly quality tire.
I previously had a Shinko rear tyre and completed 8700km two up highway riding. The shinko on the front has completed 9800km and still good. I have gone back to a Shinko.
